FINE FOOD FILLS MELBOURNE EXHIBITION CENTRE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

01 Jul 2004

This year the Fine Food Australia exhibition will fill the Melbourne Exhibition Centre for the first time in the building’s history.

For the few who have not attended this event Fine Food is a trade exhibition for the supermarket, restaurant and hotel industry. It runs annually and alternates between Melbourne and Sydney. This year it will run at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 6-9 September

According to Exhibition Director Timothy Collett “the food and hospitality are growth industries that thrive on new trends, ideas and products. This is the place where all the serious buyers and sellers meet to talk about the future”.

The last show in Sydney featured over 750 exhibitors from around the world. It filled all five halls of the Sydney Exhibition Centre and attracted 25,000 trade visitors. The good news is that the Melbourne show will be just as good, if not better.

The show is actually comprised of a number of complimentary events. Fine Food features food and drink for retailers and foodservice operators. Hotel Australia features equipment for hotels, motels and restaurants. Convenience World is a dedicated section for convenience stores.

The big news this year is the launch of Fine Wine and Spirits. This stand-alone show will run alongside Fine Food and feature alcoholic beverages. Unlike existing wine events it will be strictly trade-only and welcome suppliers from around the world.

Fine Wine & Spirits is a natural extension of the Fine Food and Hotel Australia shows. For the first time it will allow retailers, hoteliers and restaurateurs to meet all their suppliers under one roof. Already space bookings are well advanced including groups from major overseas and local regions.

If you are involved in the retail, foodservice or hospitality industry then this is the event you cannot afford to not miss. Visit www.foodaustralia.com.au for more details including a list of exhibitors and pre-registration.
